CarSeatFitfits your kid · fits your car

Find the car seat that fits your kid and your car.

Every brand's "fit finder" only shows you that brand. We compute across brands: tell us about your child and your exact vehicle, and we'll show the seats that actually fit — ranked by NHTSA's own Ease-of-Use ratings.

Age is enough to start; add weight & height for exact fit.
🧭 Prefer to filter by features — rotating, narrow / 3-across, budget, child stage? Use the structured picker: pick your car and what you need, and it matches the seats that fit. No chatbot, no guessing.
ℹ️ Informational only — built from NHTSA public car-seat ratings and published seat/vehicle dimensions. This is not a safety certification and not a substitute for the seat and vehicle manuals. Always confirm the fit and install yourself before every trip.

How CarSeatFit works

  1. We pick the right stage. Your child's age, height, and weight map to the NHTSA-recommended mode — rear-facing, forward-facing harness, or booster.
  2. We check the seat fits your child. Every seat's NHTSA-published weight and height limits for that mode are checked against your numbers — so we never recommend a seat your child has outgrown (or isn't big enough for yet).
  3. We check it fits your car. The seat's external width versus your vehicle's usable rear-bench width tells us whether three fit across, and we flag rear-facing legroom in small cars.
  4. We rank by NHTSA Ease-of-Use. Among the seats that fit, the ones NHTSA rated easiest to install and use correctly come first — because the safest seat is the one installed right.
